N101 Foot Reflexology Certification Course

Registration: needs to be at least one week prior to first in-class date with your payment. There is reading, homework and articles that need to be purchased.

Course Description: We will explore anatomy and physiology of the body systems and their corresponding reflexes. We will discuss pathologies that can affect the body systems and the feet. You will learn how to provide a complete reflexology session.

Course Fee: The fee for the course is $780.00. Full payment is required by first class. Payment may be made in the form of cash, Certified Cheque, or Money Order. If you choose to pay with a Certified Cheque or Money Order your payment will need to be made out to the Ontario College of Reflexology. This fee includes your text, your class time, and, all exams and evaluation fees.

Course Objectives:
By the end of the course the student will be able to: Define reflexology and explain zone theory to their clients. List the functions and organs of the following body systems: skeletal, muscular, endocrine, urinary, digestive, reproductive, respiratory, immune/lymphatic and nervous.

  1. Examine the foot for pathological conditions and document such conditions following the supplied charting example.
  2. Locate and label the reflexes on all four surfaces of the feet.
  3. Perform a preset reflexology routine using thumb walking and reflex hooking.

Additional objectives will be determined as a class.

Course Expectations: Being sensitive, to the demands on student’s lives and how full days are. However, you have made a financial investment in this program and your success will be determined by your effort. You will be assigned homework every class to reinforce the course material.

There will be no mark for homework completion but the readings will prepare you for the next class. Students with special needs should, contact Pamela Beach the instructor prior to commencing the course. Every effort will be made to provide assistance to each student

Course Components: The N101 course consists of a 35 hour in class component as well as a 70 session independent practical component. Both components, must, be completed within one year of the last class, in this case. Any requests for extensions must be made directly to the College.
